The Atmosphere of Baseball Throughout the Major Leagues and the World
Story by Craig Collins and Spencer Frady
[email protected], [email protected] Baseball is dubbed America's Pastime. Baseball transcends cities, states, and even international waters. A common theme in the world of baseball is the atmosphere that is created at games and off the field. In this story, players of spring training discuss the roles that the atmosphere of baseball has played in their careers. Players from the Pittsburgh Pirates system talked about childhood, family, cities, and parenting within professional baseball. Players include Clint Barmes, Alex Presley, and Gorkys Hernandez. Dean Treanor, the manager of the Indianapolis Indians, took time out of his day as well. The Indians are the Pirates Triple-A affiliate. Check out videos on the map below. The plot points stretch from the continental U.S to Venezuela. |
