Kolbrin Vitek isn't the first Ball State player to be selected in the first round of the MLB draft, but he intends to be the most successful. With a cast of teammates that he knew from the past, he is poised to show the world by he is ranked in the Red Sox top 10 prospects by Baseball America. Vitek is adjusting well to life off the pitcher's mound. As a dual threat player in high school and college, Vitek is now focusing his attention at third base and at the plate. Jeremy Hazelbaker's Road to Boston

Jeremy Hazelbaker started playing baseball in the cornfields of Indiana. Now he plays in the outfield on his way to the Boston Red Sox. The transition from college to professional ball can be tough.
